In celebration of the Chinese festival of Golden Week, Executive Chef at Hakkasan Chef Tong Chee Hwee and owner and Executive Chef at StreetXO in Mayfair Dabiz Muñoz have collaborated to create an exclusive menu bringing together their influences from around the world.
The limited edition Golden Week menu will feature dishes fusing together the chefs’ unique Cantonese and Spanish styles.
Chef Muñoz trained in the Hakkasan kitchen early on in his career under Chef Tong. He went on to open StreetXO in London’s Mayfair, and, before that, the original StreetXO in Madrid, and DiverXO, Madrid’s only three starred Michelin restaurant. He creates dishes with both Mediterranean and East Asian influences, attributing much of his culinary inspiration to his experiences working at Hakkasan.
Bringing together ingredients and culinary techniques from both Spain and China, such as the transformation of one of Spain’s iconic dishes, the tortilla, into a Cantonese dim sum, the Golden Week menu is unlike anything experienced in Hakkasan before.
